Insulated ball valve are specifically designed to handle media that tend to solidify or crystallize at ambient temperatures, such as heavy crude oil, asphalt, resins, and syrups. These valves feature an integrated jacket surrounding the standard valve body, allowing steam, hot water, or thermal oil to circulate and maintain the temperature of the process media within the main pipeline. This ensures smooth flow and prevents costly pipeline blockages.
They are widely used in the petrochemical, food processing, pharmaceutical, and synthetic fiber industries, and are indispensable for maintaining continuous process flow. The design accommodates media temperatures of up to 300 °C, with nominal diameters ranging from DN25 to DN300.
Efficient Jacketed Design and High-Quality Construction
The Insulated ball valve body of the jacketed ball valve is manufactured from stainless steel (such as SS304 or SS316) or cast steel. The jacket is either integrally cast or welded to ensure uniform heat transfer. The jacket flow path is engineered for efficient circulation of the heating medium with minimal pressure loss. A reliable sealing structure between the jacket and the valve body prevents cross-contamination of process media.
The valve ball is forged and polished, and fitted with high-temperature-resistant seals. The valve stem packing is also designed to withstand elevated operating temperatures. Manufacturing adheres to customer-specified or industry-standard jacketed valve requirements. Each valve undergoes rigorous testing for thermal performance, pressure integrity (main valve body rated up to Class 300, jacket pressure rated up to 10 bar), and seat leakage before leaving the factory.

A key feature of this jacketed ball valve is its stable and efficient thermal management capability, effectively eliminating downtime caused by pipeline blockages. The jacket design maximizes heat-exchange efficiency while minimizing energy consumption. The valve retains quick quarter-turn operation for precise flow control.
Its compact structure and multiple connection options, including flanged and threaded ends, allow easy integration into existing piping systems. Maintenance is simple and straightforward: common wear parts are easily replaceable, and the jacket can be cleaned or serviced independently. For processes involving temperature-sensitive media, the jacketed ball valve provides reliable and long-term performance assurance. The heating medium circulated within the jacket may include steam, hot water, or thermal oil, offering flexibility across different application scenarios.
