Our 3 piece ball is one of the most popular and practical valve designs for general industrial applications, covering sizes from 1/2" to 12" (DN15 to DN300). It is widely used in process plants, water treatment, and various industrial pipeline scenarios, reliably handling water, oil, gas, steam, and mildly corrosive chemicals. Its full-bore design ensures extremely low flow resistance during on/off control.

It features a 3 piece ball with flanged ends: the central body houses the ball and seat, while the two end pieces carry the flange connections. This design achieves an excellent balance between performance, ease of maintenance, and installation flexibility, making it a practical and economical choice for industrial pipelines.

 

Durable Design for Demanding Service

 

The core valve body is manufactured using precision investment casting, with optional materials including WCB carbon steel, CF8 (304 stainless steel), CF8M (316 stainless steel), and Alloy 20, allowing for strength and corrosion resistance tailored to specific operating conditions. The ball and stem are made of 304/316 stainless steel or chrome-plated carbon steel, and the full-bore design ensures the internal diameter of the flow path matches the pipe, minimizing pressure loss.

Seat materials include PTFE, RPTFE, nylon, and PEEK, with metal seals available for high-temperature applications. PTFE seats are suitable for temperatures ranging from -20°C to 200°C, while other sealing materials can handle even higher temperatures. The flanged ends strictly adhere to ANSI B16.5 Class 150/300, DIN, and JIS standards, allowing seamless integration into existing pipelines. The three-piece structure is bolted together, forming a robust, leak-proof assembly. Each product is tested according to industry standards such as API 6D and can reliably handle pressure ratings of Class 150, 300, and 600.

The core advantage of the three-piece structure lies in its unparalleled ease of maintenance: when replacing valve seats, cleaning, or performing other maintenance, there is no need to disassemble the entire pipeline. Simply remove the connecting bolts, and the central valve body can be removed as a whole, while the flange end pieces remain connected to the pipeline, significantly reducing maintenance downtime.

Furthermore, the end pieces on both sides can be easily replaced or rotated to adapt to different flange standards and face-to-face dimensions, providing high flexibility for pipeline modification.
